More great news for Cary! Just recently, the American City Business Journals published a new study that ranks Cary as the #25 “wealth center” in America. The study used demographics information – including per capita income, median household income and median home values – to rate 420 communities across the country.
Along with being a “wealth center”, the Raleigh-Cary area also recently ranked #3 in the recent Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index of the Top 10 Metro Areas. The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index score measures for each city an average of six sub-indexes, which individually examine life evaluation, emotional health, work environment, physical health, healthy behaviors, and access to basic necessities. The overall composite score and each of the six sub-indexes’ scores are calculated on a scale from 0 to 100, where 100 represents fully realized well-being.
